Stages of Couples counselling
1. Stabilization (assessment and de-escalation)
We start by understanding the dynamics of your relationship and the challenges you're facing together. Once learning about your relationship dynamic, we will help you identify and break the negative cycle or pattern that is keeping you distant or in emotional distress within your relationship. As we uncover the inner workings of your relationship, and the emotions accompanying, each partner will start to feel seen and heard at a deeper level.2. Bonding and Restructuring Patterns
In this stage, we work with you to build bonding moments within your relationship. Through open discussions and exploration, you will learn to communicate and respond to struggles and vulnerabilities in a new and more helpful way. By learning these new skills, a new sense of togetherness and more secure attachment can form.3. Consolidation and Integration
Following bonding and restructuring, new security is built into your relationship. During stage three, we will help you consolidate the new ways of interacting within your relationship.
