Ainsley believes that counselling is a courageous endeavour of getting to know yourself better, learning new skills, and reconnecting with your life in a way that matters to you. Ainsley sees immense strength and resiliency within her clients. Over the process of working together, she hopes to help clients to see their many strengths, as well as harness them. Ainsley will help you uncover and work through your root cause concerns, so that you leave feeling seen, heard, cared for, and less heavy inside. Ainsley works to provide a warm, empowering, and trusting space for you to feel accepted and understood as you explore your life and reconnect with yourself. Ainsley works to create a genuine relationship with each client built on trust, hope, and safety. In this relationship, Ainsley and her clients are empowered and challenged to work through hurts and concerns in a way that feels meaningful. Ainsley considers it an honour to walk alongside you as you walk through your challenges toward healing.
Ainsley acknowledges while all humans have commonalities in their experience, such as each of us having the capacity for growth, each person is different. Thus, Ainsley tailors her approach to each client. Ainsley’s approach is person-centered and is tailored to each client by drawing from many different therapeutic modalities including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Trauma-Informed Counselling, Self-Compassion Therapy, Mindfulness, and Observed Experiential Integration (similar to EMDR).
Outside of therapy, Ainsley loves animals, getting outdoors, trying new restaurants, reading, working out, and spending time with loved ones.
Ainsley wishes to meet you where you are at and move at a pace that works for you. She would be delighted to connect with you!
